Sendshot collects context in the background while someone is on your page, and only sends it when they submit a report. Nothing leaves the browser before that.
Included in every report
- Their message and the feedback type
- Screenshot, if they took one, with their annotations
- Page URL, without the query string
- Browser, operating system and device type
- Viewport and screen size, pixel ratio, locale and timezone
- Referrer domain (only the domain, not the full URL)
- User steps: clicks and page navigation leading up to the report (last 500)
- Console logs and JavaScript errors (last 500 logs, last 200 errors)
- Network requests: failed requests with status codes, plus request timings (last 500)
- Page performance timing
- Their email, only if you turned on email collection and they filled it in
Left out on purpose
- No session recording or video
- No keystrokes or form contents
- No password or payment fields in screenshots (they're masked automatically)
- No tracking across sites, and no ad cookies
